Rock Lobster

This is My Sunburned Shoulder.

Yes, it Hurts. Yes, The Rest Of Back looks like this, too. Yes, I was outside today in Sunny Santa Monica, Sans Sunscreen. Yes, I know this was A Very Foolish Thing To Do. Yes, I put Aloe on it. Yes, I took Aspirin.

No, I won't make This Mistake ever ever again.

Owch! And thanks--I'll be singing that song for the rest of the day.

Randi, I swear to god, milk bath. I burned my face and chest last year and used a tupperware bowl in the bathroom with a washcloth and even that sped the healing process up dramatically. I drink whole milk so that's what I used.

Soaked the washcloth in the bowl of milk, wrung it out (not too well though), and laid it over my face for about 30 seconds. Soak, wring, lay, repeat a few times. Outrageously soothing and healing.

Normally I'm very wary of these weird CA healing things, but this one worked.

Oh, and I had Burt's Bee's for some kind of aloe/milk soothing lotion, which I kept in the fridge and used many times a day. Also helpful.

Your very pale friend in SF who also burns

Ooh, poor TDR! Gentle, soothing kisses. And more aloe. And milk.

I had the reverse last week.. just the tank top strap part was burnt. Because I usually where a tank, but that day wore a tube top.

Mine is peeling now, even though I smothered it every day in Aloe
