And Don’t Go Around Telling Everyone We’re Friends, Neither.

Today was The Last Day Of Camp for one of the many programs I teach Drama in during the summer. Yesterday were their Fabulous Performances. The Final Class I like to call Cast Party Day. All the students bring in Snacks, we Clean Up, and I bring in Special Markers so that they can Sign Each Other’s Costume/T-Shirts.

Often this is A Sad Time for the kids. They have made New Friends they may not see again and they want to make sure they stay Connected. So, they exchange Phone Numbers. It was during one of these moments that I Overheard This Exchange:

“Can I have Your Phone Number?” said A Young Student.

“Okay, I’ll give it to you,” said An Older Student, reluctantly writing it down for The Young Student. “But only if You Promise Not To Call Me All The Time!!!!”

Now, don’t you wish Adults could be So Honest?
