Sunrise, Sunset

Well, this year’s Big Show took place over the weekend and it was Marvelous! My Students really put Their Hearts into the piece by the last week and it was Super Touching to see them So Excited to Perform The Play For An Audience. My Favorite Moment was after The Opening Night Show, as they were loading into their parents’ cars. The Kids were So Ecstatic and So Joyous about the performance, they couldn’t stop singing all of the songs they had just sung in The Show. On Saturday Night, they told me that they wished they could Perform The Play Again And Again, but alas, their Production Dates are dictated by The School Calendar, and not by Eighth Grade Enthusiasm. Later that evening, I watched them celebrate at the cast party, dancing to a DJ hired by a parent to entertain the class. Apparently, they really like That Miley Cyrus Song. I Don’t, but I downloaded it the next day anyway, just because it reminds me of My Students and How Happy They Were After Their Play. It makes me Feel Good to know that I could help kids Feel So Great About Themselves, at an age when one is more likely to Feel Awkward than Be Confident. And that’s The Reason that I Teach Middle School Theatre. I like That Good Feeling I Have after I work on a project like this. And I like knowing that My Students will carry The Play with them for the rest of their lives.

So, in case you haven’t noticed, This Show takes up a lot of my time. And now, I must return to Wedding Planning. I am Getting Married in A Little Over Three Months. According to The Knot, I have Nineteen Things Overdue.

And, I must return to Blogging, too. You didn’t think I would Forget About You, did ya?

Very glad you're back. I played Yenta in our second grade performance of your blog title's play.

In 8th grade I was in the chorus of Mame. Good memories.

Not many things in life can give you that same good feeling when you've taught and showed someone something and they've embraced it so well.

Well done :)

I gave myself a pedicure. I get many more done that way. Just a little hard on the back is all :)
