As she was waiting for the rest of her Fourth Grade Class to arrive to drama class, a student asked me if I had Found My Wedding Dress yet.
“As a matter of fact, I Have!” I told the girl. “I found it last week.”
“What does it look like?” she returned.
“Oh, it is Beauuuutiful,” I replied. “If we have time, I will show you a picture after class. I keep one on my computer.”
“Well, I envision you in an A-Line Dress, with Capped Sleeves, maybe in Ivory Satin Chiffon, Lace Overlay and A Sweetheart Neckline. And maybe A Chapel Train.” She stood up to demonstrate How Far She Thought The Train Should Be. “Not Too Long, I think.” She sat back down. “No Veil.”
I just stared at her, dumbfounded. “How does A Nine Year Old know so much about Wedding Dresses? I didn’t even know What All That Was until I had to Go Shopping for one!”
“Oh,” she said shrugging her shoulders. “I watch a lot of Style Network. Last night was ‘I Do Tuesday.’”
